In the autumn of 2015, the life of Dejan Harris, a 21-year-old Black male from Rochester, New York, was tragically cut short. On the evening of October 7th, Harris, known affectionately to some as 'DJ,' was discovered on Frost Avenue with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Emergency responders were called to the scene, but his injury proved to be fatal, and he succumbed to it shortly after being found.
