Terrance McAvoy, a 30-year-old sergeant with the NYPD, tragically passed away on July 27, 2019, in his home in New Dorp, Staten Island. McAvoy, who was born and raised on Staten Island, had a distinguished career in law enforcement, having joined the NYPD in 2011 and being promoted to sergeant in June 2018. He was known for his dedication to his work and his community, as well as his athletic achievements in football, wrestling, and powerlifting during his school years.
