Terrance McAvoy, a 30-year-old sergeant with the NYPD, tragically passed away on July 27, 2019, in his home in New Dorp, Staten Island. McAvoy, who was born and raised on Staten Island, had a distinguished career in law enforcement, having joined the NYPD in 2011 and being promoted to sergeant in June 2018.
