Arsenio Gravesande, a 28-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, was tragically shot and killed on August 20, 2019. Gravesande, a father of two, was found with a gunshot wound to his left hip at the corner of Union Street and Sutter Avenue in the Brownsville neighborhood. He was transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Gravesande's death was part of a particularly violent 24-hour period in New York City, during which five homicides occurred.
