On a late summer evening in 2019, the life of 20-year-old Emerson Jean-Baptiste was tragically cut short. On September 1st, in the vicinity of the 150 Liberty Parkway apartment complex in Spring Valley, New York, reports of gunshots prompted a police response. Officers arrived to find Jean-Baptiste on the ground, unresponsive, with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Nyack Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
