In the late morning of May 22, 2020, a violent encounter in the village of Nyack, New York, tragically ended the life of 30-year-old Ryan L. Franklin of West Haverstraw. Franklin, a male, was shot and severely wounded on South Midland Avenue. Orangetown Police Department officers responded to the scene around 10:05 a.m. and found him between Depew Avenue and Main Street.
