On a late summer evening over Labor Day weekend in 2020, a gathering among friends in the Adirondack town of Old Forge, New York, took a tragic turn, ending the life of 50-year-old Scott R. Krempler. A retired FDNY lieutenant and U.S. Air Force veteran from Patterson, New York, Krempler was a married father of two who was known for his love of the outdoors and his dedication to his family and friends.
