On September 13, 2020, Jermaine Shelton, a 35-year-old resident of Rochester, NY, was tragically shot and killed while sitting in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle on Bernard Street, near North Street. According to the Rochester Police Department, a man approached the vehicle and fired multiple gunshots into it, striking Shelton in the upper body.
