On the evening of October 27, 2020, Javon Merrill, a 27-year-old male, was fatally shot in Yonkers, New York. The incident occurred at approximately 9:35 p.m. as Merrill was exiting the Triangle Deli on Ashburton Avenue. Two individuals approached him outside the establishment, and one of them fired a single shot, striking Merrill in the chest before both suspects fled the scene. Merrill collapsed and was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
