Javon Merrill, a 27-year-old resident of Yonkers, NY, tragically lost his life on October 27, 2020. The incident occurred at approximately 9:35 PM when Merrill was exiting the Triangle Deli on Ashburton Avenue. As he was leaving the store, he was approached by two suspects, one of whom produced a handgun and fired a single shot, striking Merrill in the chest. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to a local hospital, Merrill succumbed to his injuries shortly after the shooting.
