Hakim Blankumsee, a 26-year-old resident of East Harlem, was fatally shot on December 21, 2020, during a violent home invasion at the Baisley Houses complex in South Jamaica, Queens. The incident occurred around 12:44 p.m. when two individuals approached a 22-year-old man from behind as he was about to enter the apartment.
