Around 1 a.m. on May 2nd, Jackson was with a 45-year-old friend at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Beverley Road when an altercation with another man escalated with shocking suddenness.
Surveillance footage from the scene captured the moment the unidentified assailant drew a firearm
and opened fire. Jackson was struck in the head and torso, while his companion sustained gunshot wounds to his left arm and right thigh. Both men were rushed to local hospitals for medical attention. Jackson was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he fought for his life but ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on May 3, 2021.
