In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 31, 2021, the life of 38-year-old Elvys Familia was tragically cut short on a street in the Bronx. Responding to a 911 call about an unconscious male in the Mount Eden neighborhood, police and EMS arrived at approximately 4:29 a.m. to find Familia in front of 1476 Walton Avenue. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
