Death by Force

Tyre Smith, an 18-year-old from New Orleans, was reported missing from his home in the 7th Ward on December 3, 2016. He was last seen in the 4000 block of Duplessis Street around 9:30 p.m. that Saturday. After failing to show up at school on Monday, December 5, his family and friends grew increasingly concerned. Calls to his phone were met with voicemail, and a missing person alert was issued by the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) shortly afterward as the community rallied to find him.
