His father, Lamarr Wooten, described him as his only child and someone who, if he set his mind to something, would accomplish it. The family was left shattered by the loss, with his mother, Maria Arrington, expressing that her future felt shattered as he was her everything.
The investigation into Marcel's death suggests he was intentionally targeted. Detectives believe he had gone to Bayview Park, near his home, to meet with someone before the fatal shooting occurred.
