A young man's life was cut short in a fatal shooting that transpired in Queens, New York. Cristobal Alfredo Ixquier Mejia, 19 years old, was shot and killed on the night of Thursday, January 6, 2022. The incident occurred around 9:57 p.m. at the intersection of 147th Place and Jamaica Avenue. Responding to a 911 call, police officers discovered Mejia at the scene with a gunshot wound to his chest.
