Adriana Graham, an 18-year-old female, was found with a gunshot wound to her head in the lobby of the Harding Arms Apartments on Sterling Place in Crown Heights. The incident occurred at approximately 2:46 a.m. Emergency services rushed the young woman, a resident of Far Rockaway, Queens, to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.
Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries two days later, on May 6, 2022.
The New York Police Department quickly began an investigation into the shooting, classifying her death as a homicide. According to police sources, one theory is that Graham and a friend were playing with a firearm and recording videos when the gun discharged. However, this narrative has been questioned by her family, who are seeking justice and clarity on the events that led to her untimely death. Her older sister expressed doubt about the police's conclusion, emphasizing that Adriana was a good student who was scheduled to graduate from W.H. Maxwell Career and Technical Education High School.
