On the evening of May 8, 2022, a tragic and violent series of events unfolded in a busy parking lot in Middletown, New York, culminating in the death of 20-year-old Edward Wilkins. The young man, a White male, was fatally shot in what investigators later determined to be a murder-suicide stemming from a love triangle. The perpetrator was identified as Sean Armstead, a 36-year-old off-duty New York City Police Department officer.
