In the late hours of August 17, 2017, 19-year-old Coree White Jr., a male from Middletown, New York, was shot on Wallkill Avenue. He was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries during surgery. The investigation into his death was immediately hampered by a lack of cooperation from witnesses, with many refusing to speak with detectives or providing misleading information.
