In the late hours of a summer night in Belle Harbor, Queens, the life of Brendan Joseph McVeigh, a 28-year-old male NYPD detective, came to a tragic end. On July 31, 2022, he was discovered in his Rockaway apartment by his fiancée, having sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
