Brendan Joseph McVeigh, a 28-year-old NYPD detective from Belle Harbor, Queens, NY, tragically passed away on August 1, 2022. His death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. McVeigh was found by his fiancée in their Rockaway apartment around 11:30 p.m. on July 31, 2022.
