In the autumn of 2022, the life of 48-year-old Myron Dukes came to a violent and abrupt end on a street in Queens, New York. On the afternoon of November 9th, a black Range Rover was speeding down Parsons Boulevard when it collided head-on with a white van that was stopped at a red light at the intersection with Franklin Avenue. In the chaotic moments that followed the crash, the driver of the Range Rover was seen fleeing the scene on foot, carrying a bag.

When police and emergency services arrived, they discovered Myron Dukes in the back seat of the luxury SUV. He was unresponsive, having sustained a gunshot wound to the back of his head. Medical personnel rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injury was too severe, and he was pronounced dead. The driver of the white van sustained only minor injuries. The investigation into the incident quickly shifted from a mere traffic collision to a homicide.

Authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the shooting death of Myron Dukes. The New York Police Department has, however, released a description of the suspect who fled the scene. He is described as a man with a medium complexion and a well-trimmed gray beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray cap, a black hooded sweatshirt over a t-shirt with 'Security' written on it, black pants, and dark boots. Eyewitnesses also noted that he was wearing blue latex gloves. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to seek information from the public to bring the person responsible for Myron Dukes's death to justice.
