Night Chief John Henry "Jack Hen" Daugherty, aged 52, tragically lost his life on July 28, 1907, in Crisfield, Maryland. He was shot and killed while performing his duties as a law enforcement officer. On that fateful day, Night Chief Daugherty and another officer were escorting a prisoner to jail.
