On August 6, 2010, the tragic deaths of Shayla Shante Sikyala, a three-year-old girl, along with her brother Shakur Sylvester Sikyala, their mother Dawn Yvette Brooks, and their aunt Mwasiti Sikyala, shocked the community of Lanham, Maryland.
