In the summer of 2010, a horrific crime unfolded in Lanham, Maryland, claiming the lives of four people, including 38-year-old Dawn Yvette Brooks. On August 6th, Brooks, her two young children, 4-year-old Shakur Sylvester Sikyala and 3-year-old Shayla Shante Sikyala, and their paternal aunt, 41-year-old Mwasiti Sikyala, were found shot to death.
