In the early morning hours of July 13, 2011, the life of 34-year-old Leeson Richardo Samuels of Adelphi, Maryland, was tragically cut short. A few hours before his body was discovered, Samuels was walking to his 2007 tan Chevrolet Suburban in Silver Spring when he was kidnapped. His vehicle was also stolen during the abduction.
Later that morning, Samuels was found deceased in a grassy area in the 2300 block of 51st Place in unincorporated Hyattsville.
An investigation by the Prince George's County Police Department determined that he had been shot. His stolen SUV was subsequently located in Washington, D.C.
Despite the passage of time, the murder of Leeson Richardo Samuels remains an unsolved case. Law enforcement officials have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with his kidnapping and homicide. The Prince George's County Police Department has periodically issued public appeals for information, urging anyone with even the smallest detail to come forward to help bring closure to Samuels' family and friends, who continue to await answers and justice.
