On a winter afternoon in 2011, a call to the Prince George's County police about a man threatening suicide set in motion a tragic chain of events that would end a life. On December 14, officers were dispatched to a home on Valley Park Road in the Capitol Heights area, near Seat Pleasant, Maryland. There, they encountered 43-year-old James Henry Peoples.
