In the quiet neighborhood of District Heights, Maryland, the life of 23-year-old Antonio Delonte Ross, an African-American male, was cut short on the cold evening of January 18, 2013. Just outside his home, the sounds of gunfire shattered the night, leaving Ross with fatal wounds. When Prince George's County Police officers arrived at the scene, they found him suffering from the assault.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced dead.
Investigators quickly determined that the shooting was not a random act of violence; they believed Antonio was intentionally targeted.
