Dayonte Matthew Shannon, a 24-year-old resident of Forestville, Maryland, tragically lost his life on March 12, 2015. On that day, at approximately 3:50 PM, patrol officers were dispatched to the 6500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Shannon suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, Shannon was pronounced dead at the scene.
