In the quiet community of Forestville, Maryland, a burst of gunfire on the evening of February 19, 2013, shattered the winter calm and irrevocably altered the lives of two families. In a parking lot on Donnell Drive, two 18-year-old men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One of them, Aaron Burrell Kidd, was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after the attack. The other, Andre Walter Shuford, a resident of Pumphery Drive, clung to life in grave condition.
