On a spring evening in Baltimore, on March 24, 2015, the life of 29-year-old Jarrell Hicks, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. Hicks, who was also known by the nickname "Tookie," was found shot in the 3300 block of West Caton Avenue. The incident marked another grim statistic in the city's homicide count for the year.
