Marquis Ely, an 18-year-old from Baltimore, MD, tragically lost his life on June 23, 2016. Ely was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1600 block of East 25th Street. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide, adding to the alarming number of violent deaths in Baltimore that year.
