Douglas Brooks, an 18-year-old rising rapper known by his stage name "Swipey," was tragically shot and killed on August 21, 2016, near his home in Suitland, Maryland. Brooks was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside an apartment complex on Parkway Terrace Drive, not far from his mother's residence.
