Syed Asad Hassan, a 22-year-old resident of Burtonsville, Maryland, was fatally shot on August 23, 2016. The incident occurred at a home in the 4500 block of Sandy Spring Road. Montgomery County police responded to a call about an assault at approximately 10:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Hassan suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was transported to a trauma center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
