In the early morning hours of April 8, 2017, the city of Baltimore was marred by a burst of violence that claimed the life of 36-year-old Douglass Holt. The incident, a double homicide, also resulted in the death of 27-year-old Maurice Walker.

Around 6 a.m., Baltimore Police were called to the 200 block of Pearl Street, where they discovered both Holt and Walker suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported the two men to a nearby hospital, but their injuries proved to be ...
