In the summer of 2017, the life of a 54-year-old Black man, Charlie Stevenson, was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. On the morning of July 3rd, at approximately 4:55 a.m., violence erupted in the 5300 block of Ready Avenue, leaving Stevenson the victim of a fatal encounter.
