In the winter of 2017, the life of 18-year-old Andrew Douglas Turner was tragically cut short in what police described as a drug deal gone wrong. On the afternoon of Saturday, December 16th, authorities received a 911 call reporting a man had been shot at a residence on Falling Water Circle in Germantown, Maryland. First responders arrived at the home to find Andrew, a male resident of the address, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation into the homicide revealed that Andrew was involved in selling marijuana from his home. Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department's Major Crimes Division identified two suspects in the case: 27-year-old Kairee Deyonte Dorsey and 23-year-old Christopher Arthur Breeden Jr., both from Silver Spring. Investigators believe that on the day of the murder, Dorsey and Breeden traveled to Andrew's residence with the intent to rob him. During the robbery, Andrew was shot, and the suspects fled with an amount of marijuana.
In the months that followed, the investigation led to the apprehension of both suspects. On February 28, 2018, Kairee Deyonte Dorsey was arrested during a traffic stop on unrelated firearm and drug charges. A subsequent search of his home uncovered evidence linking him to Andrew's murder. Following this, an arrest warrant was issued for Christopher Arthur Breeden Jr. on March 2, and he was taken into custody on March 7 in Columbia, Maryland. Both men were charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for their roles in the death of Andrew Douglas Turner. Breeden was held without bond.
