In the bright afternoon of a Saturday in May 2019, tragedy struck in the Brooklyn neighborhood of South Baltimore. Larry Darnell Petway, a 35-year-old man, was in the 800 block of Gretna Court when he was shot. The incident, which unfolded around 12:30 p.m. on May 4th, left Petway with a gunshot wound to the chest.
