On the night of June 10, 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Southeast Baltimore neighborhood. When police officers arrived at the 1600 block of Dundalk Avenue at approximately 10:39 p.m., they discovered the body of 33-year-old Davone Wayne Brooks. A Black male, Brooks had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Baltimore Police Department's homicide unit is actively investigating the killing.
