On the night of June 10, 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Southeast Baltimore neighborhood. When police officers arrived at the 1600 block of Dundalk Avenue at approximately 10:39 p.m., they discovered the body of 33-year-old Davone Wayne Brooks. A Black male, Brooks had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Baltimore Police Department's homicide unit is actively investigating the killing.
In the wake of the shooting, detectives canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses, urging anyone with information to come forward. Despite their efforts, the investigation into Davone Brooks' murder has yielded no significant updates regarding arrests or the identification of any suspects.
