In the summer of 2019, a young man's life was violently cut short on the streets of Southwest Baltimore. Dwane Harris, a 26-year-old Black male, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his head on the morning of June 13th. The discovery was made in the 2200 block of Allendale Road, a residential area that became the scene of a tragic and至今unsolved crime.
Patrol officers responded to the scene around 11:35 a.m. and found Harris gravely injured.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his wound proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The initial report of the shooting had come from a different location, the 2200 block of Chelsea Terrace, but was later updated to Allendale Road where Harris was ultimately found.
The Baltimore Police Department's homicide detectives immediately launched an investigation into Harris's death.
