Devon Chavis, a 28-year-old well-known barber from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically shot and killed on the night of July 23, 2019. Chavis, who was celebrated for his barbering skills and had a thriving business named Celebrity Cutz by Dev, was shot multiple times outside his apartment on Goodnow Road in East Baltimore. He had just returned home from the airport when the incident occurred. Chavis was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center shortly after the shooting.
