Carolyn McFadden, a 73-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, tragically lost her life on January 18, 2020, after being caught in the crossfire of a shootout earlier that month. On January 6, 2020, McFadden was outside her apartment complex on the 1800 block of Hollins Avenue, smoking a cigarette, when she was struck by a bullet in the stomach as two men exchanged gunfire. Despite being rushed to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, she succumbed to her injuries twelve days later.
