On the evening of March 28, 2020, in the Pigtown neighborhood of South Baltimore, 27-year-old Anthony N. Covington, a Black male, was fatally shot in an incident that also left three other men wounded. The violence erupted at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Ostend Street when a silver Infiniti sedan stopped at a red light. Three individuals exited the car and opened fire on a group of people standing on the corner.
