In the afternoon hours of May 8, 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the relative quiet of the 2800 block of E Chase St in Baltimore, Maryland. When the violence subsided, a 30-year-old Black male named Justin L. Snipe was left suffering from gunshot wounds. First responders arrived at the scene at approximately 4:31 p.m. and quickly transported him to the nearby Johns Hopkins Hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life.
