A cool evening in Baltimore turned tragic on May 3, 2014, when 30-year-old Larry Henderson, affectionately known as “Boxx,” was found shot in the 2500 block of Huron Street. Police and paramedics arrived at the scene just after 6 p.m. to find Henderson in the street with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Known to frequent the area of Carey and Laurens Streets, Henderson’s death left a void in his community.
More than a year after the shooting, in December 2015, the Baltimore FBI Safe Streets Task Force made a public plea for information that could help them solve the case. A reward of up to $10,000 was offered for any information leading to an arrest, with the assurance that all tips would remain confidential.
Despite the reward and the ongoing investigation by a task force comprised of FBI agents and Baltimore Police detectives, no arrests have been announced in connection with the murder of Larry Henderson. The case remains unsolved, and the individuals responsible for his death have not been publicly identified. The appeal for information from the public continues in the hope of bringing closure to his family and friends.
