On May 6, 2015, Rodney Vandetta Johnson, aged 42, was fatally shot on the 2500 block of Druid Hill Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. Rodney, affectionately known as "Dinky," was originally from Saginaw, Michigan. He had attended Bridgeport High School before graduating from Saginaw High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Towson University.
