In the summer of 2020, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in a College Park, Maryland hotel. Tyesha Henry, a 26-year-old female, was discovered unresponsive inside a hotel room on the 9100 block of Baltimore Avenue on the morning of July 5th. When authorities arrived at approximately 11:30 a.m., they found her suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, Ms.
Henry was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the death of Tyesha Henry quickly moved forward. Detectives from the Prince George's County Police Department treated the case as a homicide from the outset. Their work led them to identify a suspect in a matter of days. The investigation pointed towards the incident being domestic in nature, suggesting a personal conflict preceded the fatal shooting. Stewart, a resident of Greenbelt, was charged with first and second-degree murder in connection with Tyesha Henry's death. Following his arrest, he was taken into the custody of the Department of Corrections.
