In the late evening hours of August 3, 2020, the community of Lansdowne, Maryland, was shaken by an act of violence that claimed the life of 45-year-old Ira Douglas Dixon. A resident of the nearby Halethorpe area, Dixon was discovered deceased in the roadway at the intersection of Oak Road and Maple Road. The Baltimore County Police had been dispatched to the location at approximately 10:40 p.m., where they found Mr. Dixon suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Medical assistance was rendere ...
