In the early hours of a Thursday morning in Baltimore, tragedy struck, leaving two families grieving and a community searching for answers. Deion Jenkins, a 24-year-old Black man, was fatally shot on September 10, 2020. The incident unfolded around 12:02 a.m. in the 3100 block of Independence Street, where police responded to a report of a shooting.
