In the heat of a Baltimore summer afternoon, on August 20, 2025, the life of Levontaye Mullen, a 25-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. Gunshots shattered the weekday quiet on the 2800 block of Woodbrook Avenue, leaving Mullen with life-threatening injuries. First responders arrived at the scene around 1:30 p.m. to find him wounded. Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
