On the afternoon of October 6, 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the ordinary atmosphere inside a corner store in Southwest Baltimore's Edmondson Village. When the chaos subsided, 19-year-old Shamall Roundheart, a Black male, was found fatally wounded. The incident, which occurred at approximately 4:08 p.m. in the 3600 block of Edmondson Avenue, left the young man with gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
