In what should have been a quiet, residential neighborhood in Columbia, Maryland, a deeply troubling event unfolded, leaving a family and community in shock. Alleen Vinetta Buswell Hartlieb, a 31-year-old Caucasian woman, tragically lost her life on March 28, 2021. The circumstances of her death were heartbreakingly clear; it was a murder-suicide perpetrated by her husband, Kyle Hartlieb, who was also 31.
