In the evening hours of November 11, 2021, a burst of violence on a street in Southwest Baltimore would set in motion a tragedy that would take nearly two years to reach its somber conclusion. On that day, at approximately 7:52 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Braddish Avenue. There they found Byron Hagans, a 29-year-old male, suffering from a gunshot wound.
